Pomegranate Chilly juice

Pomegranate juice is made from the fruit of the Pomegranate. It is used in cooking both as a fresh juice and as a concentrated syrup.


  • 1 large bowl
  • 1 small sharp knife
  • Mesh strainer or slotted spoon
  • 1 colander or strainer with small holes

How to De-Seed a Pomegranate
1)Cut the crown end of the pomegranate and discard. The crown can be recognized by small crown-like top.

2)Cut three shallow slits through the outer rind, following three of the white pith lines, from the top of the fruit to the bottom, but be sure not to cut all the way through
3)Soak the pomegranate in cold water, upside down for 5-10 minutes
4)Break apart the rind of the pomegranate and remove seeds from membrane. The seeds will sink to the bottom of the bowl
5)With a sieve, remove rind and membranes from bowl.
6)Drain seeds with a colander. Pat dry with cloth or paper towel.


  • Blender
  • Spoon
  • Container for collecting liquid
  • Mesh strainer
  • Salt-1/2 tsp(as per taste)
  • Sugar-1 tsp(as per taste)
  • Chaat Masala-1 tsp

Total Time: 10 - 15 Minutes
Servings: 1 pomegranate =  1 Jug of juice

Instruction for making Juice

1)Place your pomegranate seeds in a blender.

2)Pulse the seeds a few times to break them apart and release their juice. Don't blend them for a long period of time, or the seeds will break apart and create cloudy juice.
3)Use a mesh strainer to strain the pomegranate liquid into a container.

4)Use the back of a spoon to push against the pomegranate pulp and extract as much juice as possible.
5)Add salt,sugar,chaat masala mix them by rotating it with spoon,Chill, if desired, and enjoy.

*** U can also add Margarita ready to drink to this juice to make it Pomegranate cocktail.
